Mark Neall – BVSc CertVC CertAVP (SAM) Cert AVP (VDI) MRCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine – Veterinary Surgeon and Clinical Director
Mark graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2004. He enjoys all aspects of his work, and has obtained RCVS post graduate certificates in cardiology, diagnostic imaging and small animal medicine. Mark lives in Ashford with his family and in his spare time enjoys fishing. Having initially joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2010, Mark re-joined us in 2014, becoming Clinical Director in 2019.
Vanessa Martin – BVM&S MRCVS- Veterinary Surgeon
Vanessa graduated in 1991 from Edinburgh. She began practicing in Yorkshire and then in the local area in 1996, joining us at Kingsnorth in September 2004. She too is kept busy by her family and pets, with a passion for riding and competing.
Isabella De Rosa – BVetMed MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Izzie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2019 and moved back to Kent to join us at Cinque Ports. She enjoys all aspects of work, but particularly soft tissue surgery and oncology. In her spare time Izzie loves to cook, travel and go to the gym, as well as spend time with her dog.
Jay Dave – BVetMed MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Jay joined the team in September 2019 and has a specific interest in surgery. He is currently working towards his post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery with a particular emphasis on orthopaedics. He graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012 and initially started working in mixed practice in Lincolnshire but has moved around the country and spent a year practicing in New Zealand before settling in Kent. In his spare time he has just taken up kickboxing and is training for a half marathon.
Joe Evans – BVetMed MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Joe graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016 and after a rotating private internship worked for the PDSA. Joe joined Cinque Ports Vets in 2019 and has started studying for a certificate in small animal surgery. His main interest is in surgery, but he also enjoys emergency and critical care and imaging. Outside of work Joe has a young son to keep him busy, and also enjoys powerlifting and cooking.
Hannah Wiffen – BVMSci MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Hannah graduated from the University of Surrey in July 2020. Outside of work Hannah enjoys going for long walks in the countryside, watching romcoms and taking part in pub quizzes.
Sarah Startup – Group Practice Manager
Sarah has worked in veterinary practice since 1989 as a Receptionist. Sarah joined our Kingsnorth branch when it was opened in Summer 2001, becoming Branch Manager in 2007 and Group Practice Manager of Cinque Ports Vets & Milbourn Equine in 2016. She is assisted in her office by Izzy her rescue terrier.
Sophie Francis – Branch Manager
Sophie joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2015 as a receptionist having worked in veterinary practices previously. Sophie became Branch Manager in 2019 and in her spare time she is kept busy with her family and Labrador Flynn.
Lee Bruin – RVN – Head Nurse
Lee began nursing in 1999 qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002. Lee joined the Kingsnorth branch in 2006 and is a Clinical Coach enabling her to train our student veterinary nurses. She frequently returns to Scotland to visit her family with any spare time taken up by her three very bouncy Labradors!
Lorraine Eason-RVN-Deputy Head Nurse, Pet Health Counsellor
Lorraine qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2001 and joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2013. She has a particular interest in Ophthalmology and feline behaviour. Lorraine gained her Pet Health Counsellor qualification in 2007 enabling her to advise on a wide range of beneficial healthcare issues. In her spare time Lorraine enjoys yoga and Tai Chi.
Kate Hills – RVN – Veterinary Nurse
Kate began nursing in 1998, qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008. She joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2007 and is kept busy by her family and many pets.
Faye Goodacre – RVN – Veterinary Nurse
Faye joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2012 after qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in the same year. She has a particular interest in radiography.
Erica Cobb – RVN – Veterinary Nurse
Erica qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2012 and joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2016. She has a particular interest in anaesthesia and medicine and in her spare time enjoys travelling to and exploring new places, most of the time on the back of a motorbike.
Alexandra Findlay – RVN – Veterinary Nurse
Alexandra joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2014 as a Kennel Assistant. Alexandra qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2018 and is interested in all aspects of animal care. Her spare time is spent caring for her two cats Pikachu and Zelda, her rabbit Lily and her Uromastyx (lizard), Nyah.
Beccy McColm – RVN – Veterinary Nurse
Beccy joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2018. She qualified in 2015 and has an interest in small furries and emergency critical care. In her spare time Beccy looks after her 3 horses, Ginny her one eyed Labrador and Wren her Sprocker Spaniel.
Tania Hickman – DipAVN BSc RVN – Veterinary Nurse
Tania began nursing in 1999, qualifying as veterinary nurse in 2004. Tania joined Cinque Ports Vets in 2016. Tania is interested in exotics, nursing clubs and surgical nursing. She enjoys spending time with her children, six guinea pigs, two rabbits, an African land snail, cat and tropical fish.
Amber Sharpe – RVN – Veterinary Nurse
Amber qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2018 from Middlesex University and joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2019. Amber has a particular interest in anaesthesia. In her spare time she likes shopping and going to the cinema and looking after her cat Trixie.
Bethany Hooker – Student Veterinary Nurse
Bethany joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2017 as our Kennel Assistant and began her veterinary nurse training in 2019. Bethany is completely obsessed with cleaning! In her spare time if she isn’t cleaning Bethany is often kept busy with her family and two cats Baby and Lucky.
Lois Rowe – Patient Care Assistant
Lois joined the practice in 2020. She has an HND in animal biology and conservation and enjoys all aspects of animal care. She joined our team as she enjoys learning new skills and wants more insight into veterinary care.
Andrea Found – Receptionist
Andrea joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2008 as a Receptionist. Andrea has studied at Folkestone College to gain her First and National Diploma in Animal Care. She is interested in all aspects of animal care and nursing.
Jackie Willis – Receptionist
Jackie has been a Veterinary Receptionist since 2004 joining the Kingsnorth branch in 2008. She spends her spare time trying to wear out her two very lively Jack Russell Terriers Billy and Pip.
Julie Luke – Receptionist
Julie joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2010 as a Receptionist having worked in veterinary practice in the past. Julie enjoys walking her dogs Kiki and Enna, and also spends time with her family and friends. Julie has two beautiful cats Bilbo and Teddy who were rehomed from Cats Protection to complete the household.
Tracey Downey – Receptionist
Tracey joined our team in 2019 after working in retail for over 30 years. She enjoys socialising with friends, holidays and spending her spare time with her grandson. Tracey also has a Jack Russell called Buster and a naughty cat called Ralph!
Debbie James – Receptionist
Debbie joined us in October 2019 after previously working as a veterinary receptionist for over 7 years. Debbie has a horse and two cats and enjoys walks with her family and two spaniels Folly and Ruby.
Lauren Mills – Receptionist
Lauren joined our team in 2019. She has had a varied career in customer services. Lauren studied fine art at college specialising in realism and enjoys creating drawings of pets and wildlife in her spare time.
Rachael Stooks – Personal Assistant
Rachael began nursing in 1998 gaining her Veterinary Nursing qualification in 2002. She joined our team at Tenterden in 2003, nursing for referral orthopaedic consultant Mr Gary Clayton-Jones. In 2008 she transferred to our Kingsnorth branch to continue nursing, becoming Personal Assistant to our Clinical Directors and Group Practice Manager in 2014.
